Welcome to the Department of Health Sciences. Within the department we offer many certificate and/or associate degree options, including Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN), Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Massage Therapy, Histology (HT) and Phlebotomy (PBT).

Our nursing programs are approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and the ADN program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Our Paramedicine programs (EMT and Paramedic) are approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS). Our EMT/P Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Our lab sciences programs (MLT and HT) are accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). The healthcare programs at Central Texas College have earned a reputation for excellence and students who successfully complete our programs are highly sought for employment.

The faculty and staff within the Department of Health Sciences are dedicated to the department mission and value the responsibility of preparing students who are capable and committed to the provision of high quality patient care. We accomplish our mission through the use of evidence-based, diverse and interactive classroom, lab and clinical experiences. Our state of the art simulation center allows students to apply knowledge in a vast array of clinical scenarios.
