As you prepare to move into Morton Hall, be mindful of the items you need to bring as well as items not allowed in the residence hall. Below are some items you should review before move-in day.

The residence hall provides a microwave and mini-fridge in each room. Washers, dryers and Wi-Fi are also provided.

Please read the Move-In Details below carefully.  It includes everything you need to know before Move-In.

Move-In Dates and Times: Jan 8-10 10:00-5:00PM

Orientation Date: Sunday, January 11 12:00PM Bldg. 220, Second Floor, Room 201

Move-In Checklist – What You’ll Need

Before you can move-in, you must have the following reviewed and approved:

  • ✅ Meningitis vaccination record (no older than 5 years) – This is mandatory for all residents under 22 years old
  • ✅ Proof of dorm payment or active payment plan
  • ✅ Class schedule showing full-time enrollment (12+ credit hours)

Click on the "Essential Items to Bring" list. Please use this list to guide your pre-move-in shopping. Don’t forget to bring cleaning supplies! Review the “Morton Hall Handbook” as well, as it is important.

    WHAT TO BRING:  See the "Essential Items to Bring" list above. 

    WHAT NOT TO BRING:

    • Firearms or any other hazardous weapons
    • Pets are not allowed in the residence halls, either on a permanent or visiting basis.
    • Candles/ wax warmers are not permitted
    • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed
    • Appliances with exposed heating elements are not allowed due to fire and safety concern

      If you're using financial aid to pay for your dorm:

      🚨 All your classes must start on the same date.  
      If your classes have different start dates, your aid may be delayed.

      • Financial Aid Office: 254-526-1508
      • Dorm payments: Can be made online or by phone
      • Payment plans: Must be set up in person at the Business Office
        • Student Financial Services: 254-526-1217
        • Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM CST(Monday – Friday)
