Central Texas College (CTC) is currently accepting applications for the next CTC-Fort Hood Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) in data processing cohort program. The 10-week program starts March 28 and runs through June 6. The cohort is designed to provide transitioning active-duty military personnel and veterans with high-tech training in SAP, the world’s business software leader. Students will complete five non-credit courses, receive hands-on training and become certified on the most used Cloud enterprise resource planning system.

The SAP program is a collaborative effort between CTC and Fort Hood Career Skills Program and is part of the SAP Veterans to Work Career Skills Program. Students will receive valuable training in some of today’s most in-demand specialties through the courses Introduction to Enterprise Systems; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Configuration; Enterprise Systems, Tools, Concepts and Careers; ERP Business Process Integration with Simulation; and ERP Program Capstone. Areas of study in the courses include logistics, supply management, procurement, data base administration and project management.

“The SAP program is a logical step for transitioning military personnel looking for their next career move,” said Jackie Haire, dean of CTC’s Fort Hood and continental sites. “Students are afforded the necessary training to compete for employment opportunities across 25 industries including energy and national resources, financial services, public services and service industries. Upon completion, the students will earn SAP certification and be ready for a career as an SAP implementation consultant. Each candidate will also receive job placement assistance.”

Transitioning military members must be 180 days out from their expiration - term of service (ETS) date. Those interested must also attend a virtual briefing by the Fort Hood Career Skills Program to receive a procedural packet. Classes will be held at the CTC Fort Hood site, located on 72nd Street in Bldg. 3201, Tuesday through Friday, from 0800 to 1800 hours.
