Central Texas College (CTC) recently held its annual service awards ceremony to honor the dedication and commitment of its faculty and staff. 64 employees with a combined 1,010 years of service received commemorative service pins and gifts.
The ceremony took place on Friday, December 20, 2024, in the Anderson Campus Center. “At Central Texas College, we value the dedication of our employees,” CTC Chancellor Dr. Michele Carter said, “Their commitment to education and service is key to our success and the culture of our college community.”

Honorees:
Celebrating an incredible 40 years of service, Central Texas College is proud to honor Barbara Riffel-Darter. Reflecting on her time at the college, she shared, 'The participation we all did together, we did it to enhance the student experience, and it has been wonderful. I have had a fulfilling and wonderful career here.'"
Recognizing 35 years of service, we commend James Barton and Mourad Sebti.
For their outstanding 30 years of service, we celebrate Seung-Hee Pastella, Gene Silverblatt, Regina Martinez-Woodruff, and Daniel Karppi.
Marking 25 years of service, we recognize Norman Ahlhelm, Janeen Garza, Michael Oliver, and Rhonda Sullivan.
Reaching 20 years of service, we honor Jasmil Greenthaner, Michael Hunter, Holly Jordan, Katherine Oser, Gail Roderique, Mariceli Santiago Cruz, and Reineer Schelert.
Celebrating 15 years of service, Central Texas College acknowledges Nelida Baker, Amy Churchill, Chastity Clemons, Charese Cruz, Cindy Fillmore, Myrna Hawkins, Eva Hutchens, Richard Kopec, Laura Lamper, Marilyn Mapes, Breanna Meaux, Raquel Rivera, Elizabeth Swope, David Van Lannen, Patricia Vasbinder, and David Wyman.
