Central Texas College (CTC) will highlight Women’s History Month with a special event, “A Conversation with Women in Academia and Leadership,” on Thursday, March 23. The event will be from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in the Anderson Campus Center and features a conversation with four of the school’s female department chairpersons.
Led by Michele Carter, deputy chancellor – Finance and Administration, the discussion will feature Tracy Cook, department chairperson – Social and Behavioral Science; Andrea Foskett, department chairperson – Science and Agriculture; Melissa Gonzalez, department chairperson – Office Technology; and Katherine Oser, department chairperson – Computer Information and Technology Systems.
“Through their lens, we will learn how these professionals navigate and negotiate the higher education landscape while leading from the middle at Central Texas College,” said Carter. “These esteemed women will share insight on their educational journey in achieving doctorate degrees as well as their skills in directing their respective departments.”
“A Conversation with Women in Academia and Leadership” is free and open to the public.
