As a reasonably priced test administered in 60 minutes, the MAT represents an excellent option for candidates applying to any of the hundreds of graduate programs that accept MAT scores for admission.
The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems stated analogies. It consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes. In the MAT, one term in each analogy has been replaced with four options, only one of which is correct. The examinee is expected to select the option that creates a valid analogy. The MAT contains analogies in each of nine content categories, including language usage, mathematics, physical sciences, biological sciences, social studies, history, literature, philosophy, fine arts, and general information.
The computer-based version of the MAT test is very user-friendly, you will receive an immediate preliminary score upon completion of the test. This version is as accurate and reliable as the traditional paper/pencil version. The time required for this test is 60 minutes.
Candidate must present 2 forms of valid ID. The primary form of ID must be government-issued and contain both a photograph and signature.
