Bio

Mrs. Van Dyke has worked with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood for most of her IT career. Her duties included creating databases, software, and system administration.

She received her Associate of Applied Science from Texas State Technical College in Computer Science, emphasizing in Client/Server Applications and Database Design. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tarleton State University in Computer Information Systems with regards to Software Engineering and minored in Business Administration. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree. She knows multiple programming languages from COBOL to C#.

Her first published program was funded by the National Science Foundation and was used among many technical schools across the United States. Her last program (in industry) is still currently being used by the U.S. Army, Fort Hood.

Mrs. Van Dyke has always had a passion for teaching and knew that when she retired that she would teach others. Her philosophy is that she is not only teaching students but rather training them for the IT field.
