Robotics and automated systems technologies are infiltrating many fields of industry in order to improve productivity. The top five U. S. industries using robotics are health care, agriculture, food preparation, manufacturing and the military. The use of emerging technology in this field will continue to grow from industry to industry, creating the need for employees who can program, test and maintain robotic equipment.
Students in Robotics Technology certificate program will gain knowledge of the technical skills related to robotics, electronics and controls. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Robotics Technology prepares students to work with a variety of automated electro-mechanical, product assembly, process control and product distribution systems that use programmable controls and other methodologies to accomplish system management. Industry certificates will be available to students as well.
