The Central Texas College Associate Degree Nursing (A.D.N.) faculty are proud to present the preceptorship program to enhance nursing education in Central Texas. Interested nurses from all avenues of nursing are invited to join our dedicated team and assist in the education of our future A.D.N. graduates.
Once a Texas Registered Nurse has decided to become a preceptor and a Preceptor Application has been completed, submitted, and accepted, the preceptor will begin the Preceptor Course. This course has several units, including:
Unit Resources are provided as applicable. Once all unit posttests have been successfully completed, a Preceptor Certificate of Completion will be issued. The units may be taken in any order and may be repeated, if desired.
There are two other main categories on the website. One contains Preceptor Faculty including faculty contact information and faculty responsibilities. The other link is to Participating Facilities which provides information about each of the facilities who have written agreements to participate in the Central Texas College Department of Nursing and Allied Health Preceptor Program.
It is the hope and expectation of the nursing faculty that preceptors will find this program informational as well as educational. We are pleased to provide this program as an opportunity for experienced RNs to participate in the education of our future nurses.
