Advanced Cleaning and Disinfection
Custodial services intensified cleaning and disinfecting according to their cleaning protocol and consistent with CDC guidelines. High-touch areas such as door knobs, railings, and handles are routinely sanitized.
In addition to the disinfection procedures, additional care will be taken by faculty and staff to wipe down commonly used and shared surfaces before and after use, e.g., copiers, printers, computers, coffee makers, etc. To help protect yourself and others, avoid use or sharing of items that are not easily cleaned, sanitized, or disinfected.
Hand Sanitizer Stations
Hand sanitizer stations were installed across the campus.
Restrooms
Use of restrooms should be limited based on size to ensure at least 6 feet distance between individuals. Signage will be posted to indicate the appropriate capacity. Employees should wash their hands thoroughly after using the restroom to reduce the potential transmission of the virus. Restrooms will undergo a detailed cleaning each evening.
Elevators
Practice social distancing when using an elevator and limit the number of occupants by waiting for next available elevator car or use the stairs. Signage will be posted to indicate the appropriate capacity for the elevator. If you are using an elevator, wear your face covering or mask and avoid touching the elevator buttons with your exposed hand/fingers, if possible. Wash your hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Drinking Fountains
Drinking fountains that do not have a touchless bottle fill station will be taken out of service.
Gathering Spaces
Furniture signage will be used to restrict use of common furniture. Some sections of this type furniture will be blocked of completely.
Signage
Signage on everyday protective measures have been placed around campus.
