Phase 3 – Increased onsite student support services and staffing
Begins July 27, 2020
Staffing
- Additional full and part-time staff and faculty will return to work onsite, while others continue to work remotely.
- Deputy Chancellors will continue to determine the staffing levels for each of their areas in order to manage the number of employees on campus.
- Flexibility of scheduling will be important to maintain social distancing.
- Deans and Associate Deputy Chancellors develop schedules for their respective staff with the approval of the Deputy Chancellor.
Instruction
- Continuation of Summer semester classes online and Summer II classes in online and blended formats.
- All decisions about which classes may be taught on campus must be approved by the Deputy Chancellor for Instruction and Workforce Initiatives.
- CTE courses and hands-on labs/instruction programs require review by executive leadership and approval by the Chancellor.
- Adult Education classes and services provided on limited basis.
- Select Continuing Education programs and courses will be offered.
Student Support
- Remote support is the first option for services to students.
- In person student support services delivered by appointment only in accordance with social distancing guidelines. See Schedule of Services (in development).
- Limited in-person library and help desk support will be available by appointment only while maintaining social distancing. Virtual support remains the primary method for delivery of library services.
Ancillary Services
- Bookstore provides online services only.
- Residence Hall closed through fall semester.
- Child Development Center closed until further notice.
- Food services closed through summer semester.
- Planetarium closed through summer semester.
- Natatorium and Physical Education Center closed through summer semester.
- Central campus facilities not open for use by general public.
- With the exception of computer labs, common areas will remain closed.
