Student Success and Persistence (SSP) provides advising and Student Success Support Services for all CTC students. The program creates opportunities for students to thrive by providing a system of support to foster academic success, retention, and timely degree completion. Our goal is to promote student success by assisting students with removing barriers to learning through advising and resources.

Drop-in Advising

The Success Coaches, located in Bldg. 215, Room 101, offers 30-minute consultations.

• Get answers to general questions about academic degree plans, placement exams, test scores, registration, course selection and support programs.
• Advising sessions last approximately 30 minutes. Students interested in longer sessions may schedule an additional advising appointment.

Academic Suspension and Hazelwood Exemption Appeals

• Students who want to appeal their academic suspension must complete the Academic Standing Petition and Appeal form in e-forms and schedule an appointment through a Student Success Coach and attend the appointment. Attendance is required for approval of the appeal.
• Students may also call for assistance with appointment scheduling at (254)501-3006
• Hazelwood exemptions may schedule appointments at the same link or by calling (254)501-3006

Academic Achievement Plan

Our Student Success Coaches can help you stay on track for graduation by creating an academic achievement plan.

Academic Progress Monitoring

Our Student Success Coaches can assist you with tracking your academic progress. Together, you can evaluate your previous semester’s grades to set goals to keep you in good standing or to set academic goals that will assist you with returning to good academic status.
