CENTRAL TEXAS COLLEGE TO HOST MUSIC SHOWCASE
Spring music show to fund music scholarships
KILLEEN, TX — Central Texas College will host a spring Music Showcase featuring the choir, band and individual performers on April 30.
The event will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Anderson Campus Center. Admission is $5, with proceeds benefiting the Concert Series Music Scholarship Fund.
A reception honoring performers will be immediately following the program.
The choir will perform classic and contemporary music under the direction of Dr. David Thomas and accompanied by collaborative pianist Donna Kennedy. Pieces to be performed include Mozart’s “Ave Verum Corpus,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and “The Star Spangled Banner.”
Six Central Texas College vocalists who will be performing were members of the Texas Two-Year College All-State Choir.
The Central Texas College Band will be directed by Dr. Bradley Bolick. Musicians will perform Giordani’s “Caro Mio Ben,” Debussy’s “Nuit d’Etoiles,” and “Best of the Beatles.”
Guitar soloist Ty’anna Wynn will perform with the band. Wynn is instructed by Tyson Cazier.
