CENTRAL TEXAS COLLEGE TO PRESENT "A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM"
Fine Arts students will debut the timeless tale of love, magic, and mischief
KILLEEN, TX — The Central Texas College Fine Arts Department has announced its upcoming production of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," directed by Emily Roeder.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. April 18-20 at LBJ Auditorium at 6200 W Central Texas Expy. in Killeen. A matinee will be at 2 p.m. April 20.
One of Shakespeare's most beloved works, the enchanting comedy will transport audiences to a world of fantasy, romance, and whimsy, Roeder said.
Set in the mystical forest of Athens, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" follows the intertwining stories of four young lovers, a group of amateur actors, and the mischievous fairies who inhabit the woods. As the characters become entangled in a series of magical mishaps, chaos ensues, leading to hilarious misunderstandings and unexpected revelations.
Featuring an ensemble cast of talented student actors, stunning costumes, and innovative staging, CTC's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will captivate audiences of all ages. The production’s timeless themes of love, jealousy, and the power of imagination resonates with modern audiences around the world, Roeder added.
