DENIM & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS
Central Texas College Human Resources, Risk Management, and Wellness & Counseling Services will sponsor ‘Denim & Domestic Violence Awareness Day’ on Wednesday, April 24 in recognition of sexual assault victims and survivors.
Denim Day grew out of a 1998 Italian Supreme Court decision that overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore tight jeans.
Central Texas College employees worldwide will wear blue jeans on April 24 in support of victims and survivors. They also will participate in a blood drive sponsored by Baylor Scott & White.
Other community groups will offer resources and displays in a wellness fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Anderson Campus Center Ballroom.
Central Texas College provides accessible, equitable and quality educational opportunities that promote student success, completion and employability.
