PATIO CAFE PLANS MEDITERRANEAN MEAL FOR APRIL 5
Public invited to enjoy an international meal prepared by Culinary Arts students 

KILLEEN, TX — The Hospitality Programs department of Central Texas College will host a Mediterranean meal at the Patio Cafe on April 5.

The reservation-only event is part of a series of international dinners offered on selected Friday evenings at the Roy J. Smith Student Center. Meals are prepared by members of the Intermediate Food Preparation class. 

Additional dinners will be April 19 (West Indian) and May 3 (Western cooking). Seatings will be every 15 minutes from 5:30-7 p.m. 

Reservations are required by calling 254-526-1515 or emailing debra.knudson@ctcd.edu. Call or email to make your reservation by noon Thursday. Include the name, time of arrival and number of people in the party.

Forms of payment are cash or check with driver's license or state-issued identification. Credit cards are not accepted.

Appetizer

Whipped Feta with Pita Chips $8.00  A creamy yet lemony with fresh dill dip served with warm pita bread.

Soup

Tuscan White Bean Soup with Sausage & Kale  $6.00  Rustic Mediterranean soup with sausage and kale that reminds you of the Italian countryside.

Salad

Mediterranean Chickpea Egg Salad  $11.00  A protein rich salad of red cabbage, cucumbers, celery, chickpeas, and topped with some sliced hard-boiled egg.

Entrees

Crispy Pan-seared Salmon with Arugula  $23.00  Salt-rubbed salmon pan-seared to perfection sitting atop a bed of arugula salad and drizzled with lemon juice and lemon zest.

Mediterranean Beef Kebabs  $22.00  Sirloin steak tips marinated in olive oil and lemon juice, skewered with red onion, zucchini slices, and assorted bell peppers

Chicken Skillet w/ Mushrooms & Slivered Parmesan  $21.00  Chicken breast sliced & sautéed with red onions & Portobello mushrooms, garnished with slivered parmesan & sweet pepper shreds
