The Licensed Massage Therapy Program is a one year, three consecutive semesters, 28 semester credit hours, Certificate of Completion for college credit, under Department of Health Sciences. This Program achieved Programmatic Accreditation by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) October 2022.
The 2025 cohort is currently in progress. Internship begins on 14 October 2025. Once students complete Fall semester, they will walk-the-stage at CTC Graduation December 12, 2025.
Once you are accepted into Central Texas College, submit your program application on etrieve. Applications for the 2026 cohort open 1 July 2025. Additional steps are required. Completion of a programmatic Registration Packet is mandatory. The 2026 cohort begins Spring Semester, January 2026.
Massage Therapy courses are lecture and lab and take place in the classrooms on Central Campus. Classes are generally Mondays through Thursdays, and some Fridays. Exact schedules are provided as you enroll in the courses. Days, times, and locations vary for Internship/Clinicals which are the final part of the program. Classes take place in Department of Health Sciences/bldg 557, classrooms B202 and B203. Questions can be answered at your mandatory Orientation.
Registration into this program requires additional steps.
STEP 1: Complete your free online CTC application at https://www.ctcd.edu/students/prospective-students/getting-started/ and get accepted into CTC.
Determine how you will be paying for college at https://www.ctcd.edu/students/prospective-students/paying-for-college/
STEP 2: Schedule an appointment and visit with an Academic Advisor at https://www.ctcd.edu/students/current-ctc-students/advising/.
STEP 3: Self-Assessment: The Massage Therapy Program curriculum requires that you are reading and writing at the college entry level. Self-assess your reading and writing skills. If you have any doubts, consider taking the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) in reading, writing, grammar/essay at https://www.ctcd.edu/students/current-ctc-students/testing-services/tsi-texas-success-initiative/pre-assessment-activity/. If necessary, consider completing Developmental Courses before applying for the Massage Therapy Program.
STEP 4: Complete the Massage Therapy Program application on etrieve.
STEP 5: Schedule a Massage Therapy Program Orientation at Department of Health Sciences using the contact information provided below.
STEP 6: Complete the Massage Therapy Program Registration Packet. This link will be provided once you have completed Steps 1 through 5.
Cohorts are limited to 15 students. Cohorts are filled on a first-completed-first-served, meaning those who complete all six steps with a completed Registration Packet first are put into the cohort first.
