Histologic Laboratory Technology (HT) is the study of the microscopic anatomy of cells and tissues, with is an essential tool of biology and medicine to accurately diagnose cancer and other diseases. Successful clinical laboratory students should have a strong interest in science, anatomy and physiology and genetics and excel at tasks requiring attention to detail and problem-solving capacity.

This program is ideal for:

  • New college students who want to enter an in-demand medical laboratory science field.
  • Certificate HTs who require academic credits to "future proof" their jobs against increasing qualification standards. This option may include an opportunity to be awarded credits through experience and certification.
  • Graduates with a bachelor's degree who want to enter the field can become immediately eligible upon completion for Histotechnologist (HTL) certification.

This Associate of Applied Science degree includes 760 clinical hours which will help our students master the field of histology. The program qualifies students for the National Registry exam for Histology Technician certification.
