American Rescue Plan Student Aid
Applications are no longer being accepted for the American Rescue Plan Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grant.
The American Rescue Plan (ARP) emergency aid funding grant application for Spring 2022 Semester classes will no longer be available after Wednesday, April 6. The application will reopen the week of April 11 for Pell students only enrolled in CTC Summer 2022 classes. Deadline for Pell students to apply is May 1 or when funds are no longer available. If funds are still available the application will open for non-Pell “domestic” students May 2 and open May 31 for CTC international students. Pell students may still apply after May 1 if funds are still available but the application will be processed in the order received. All students must have been impacted by the pandemic. Grant awards up to $500 are available for the summer semester.
Eligible students include domestic, high school, and continuing education students enrolled in CTC credit courses or designated noncredit programs. International students must be enrolled in CTC credit courses or Central Campus classroom courses. Funds may be used for tuition and fees or for emergency costs such as food, housing, health care (including mental health) or child care.

- Be enrolled in at least three (3) semester credit hours at Central Texas College for Summer 2022 classes. Or have equivalent enrollment status in a CTC designated noncredit program.
- Were adversely impacted in some way by the coronavirus (COVID-19).
- Related expenses/impact must have occurred on or after March 13, 2020, the date the National Emergency was declared due to the coronavirus pandemic.
- To demonstrate exceptional need you must be an eligible Pell recipient at CTC in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The ARP requires institutions prioritize students with exceptional need, such as students who receive Pell grants, in awarding emergency aid grants to students. Although students do not need to be Pell recipients or eligible for Pell to receive a grant, based on the government’s identification of Pell students as having exceptional need, students receiving Pell at CTC will be prioritized through the ARP student application process.
The maximum award amount is $500 for CTC Summer 2022 classes. Only one grant award is available per student for enrollment in Summer I or Summer II or both Summers I and II.
- $500 if enrolled in at least three semester credit hours
High school students (early admission, dual credit, home schooled, etc.):
- $125 if enrolled in at least three semester credit hours

- Grant monies are released after the class census date(s). Students who drop a class or are dropped on or before their class census date and are no longer enrolled in at least three semester credit hours (or equivalent noncredit) are not eligible for a grant and will be responsible for any tuition and fee charges owed.
