For more than 30 years, Central Texas College has educated students in hospitality management. Our program offers an Associate in Applied Science degree in hospitality management with four areas of specialization: Culinary Arts, Restaurant and Culinary Management, Food and Beverage Management, and Hotel Management.
While our students pursue their associate degrees, we have established several certificate programs which act as a "stepping stone" toward achieving their degree. These certificates range from 20 to 38 credit hours - enabling our students to put their education to work for them in a shorter period of time. These include Property Management, Restaurant Operations (TDCJ only), Institutional Food Service Operations, Culinary Arts, Baking, Rooms Division, Food and Beverage Management, and Restaurant Skills.
We have completed a course conversion through a state-mandated program (WECM) which standardized course descriptions and format. The purpose of the WECM conversion is to require all courses be constructed to require the acceptance of credit transferability. This means if you take a course with Central Texas College and are awarded course credit, the credit hours will transfer to any accredited college in the state.
Central Texas College provides accessible and quality educational opportunities that support a diverse student population and promotes student success, completion and employability.
Central Texas College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate degrees and certificates of completion.
