The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice is offered under two degree plans--Criminal Justice and Criminal Justice with Corrections option. These degree plans are offered at various CTC sites in Texas, including the Central Campus, the Fort Hood Campus, and other areas of Central Texas which fall within the Service Area Campus to include Brady, Goldthwaite, Hamilton, Lampasas, and Llano. This degree plan is also offered at CTC sites throughout the Continental United States (CONUS), , and aboard many U.S. Navy ships.

The AAS degree prepares graduates for entry and mid-level positions within the criminal justice field, including law enforcement, corrections, probation, and parole. Credits earned under the AAS degree plans are accepted for credit upon transfer to a baccalaureate degree plan at upper-level institutions. Students who plan to complete a baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice at an upper-level institution should develop a degree plan which will meet the transfer requirements of the institution of their choice as soon as it is determined.

All courses have been designed to provide knowledge of the history, concepts, and procedures followed in the criminal justice profession. As our society and our legal system evolve, so do requirements imposed on practitioners within the criminal justice profession; CTC's students will be prepared to adapt to those changes.

Students who complete the requirements of these programs can be assured that they have been academically prepared for work which will see them engaged in the various facets of safety, law enforcement, and crime prevention, both theoretically and practically.
