Programs in these areas prepare students for a broad range of careers including communications, fine arts, radio and television broadcasting and much more. Many fast growing careers can be found in these areas. Some programs prepare you for immediate entry to the work force, while others prepare you to transfer to complete upper-level degree requirements.

Business and Business Technology

Broad career choices are available within business including jobs requiring the use of technology. Job duties, work settings, training, salaries and required skills are quite diverse.

Construction and Manufacturing Technology

A variety of hands-on careers are included in this area. Work for a large company, small business or open your own company. 

Health Care

Employment in health care occupations is projected to grow 19 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Career options include direct care professions like nursing and behind-the-scenes careers like histology and medical laboratory technology.

Public Service

If a service-oriented career appeals to you, explore the many fast-growing career fields including education, law enforcement and law. Many of the jobs are in the public sector working for federal, state or local government.
