Central Texas College operates Morton Hall, an air-conditioned, co-ed housing facility for 120 full-time students. Rooms have been recently remodeled and provide safe and comfortable study and living quarters. Certain rooms have been equipped to accommodate mobility-impaired students. Supervision is provided by a full-time resident manager who is responsible for daily operations. Morton Hall remains open for students' convenience during CTC's Thanksgiving holidays and spring break.
Requests for information about Morton Hall or an application for a room should be addressed to the resident manager. Room requests are accepted up to six months in advance of the semester of expected CTC enrollment. Applications are honored by semester on a first-come, first-served basis. A non-refundable reservation deposit of $100 is required with each room application.
Morton Hall at Central Texas College is part of the total educational development plan of the college. Students residing in Morton Hall will have an opportunity to meet and interact with other students in a shared community environment. The Morton Hall manager and five student resident assistants plan social, cultural and scholastic programs for the residents that contribute to the development of mature responsible individuals.
The cost of living in Morton Hall includes both room and board. The board plan begins on the first day and ends on the last scheduled day of final exams. The board plan does not include meals for the days during either the Thanksgiving holidays or spring break. Morton Hall is closed during the intervals between semesters. In the event a student leaves Morton Hall before the end of the semester, room and board charges are not refundable.
Room furnishings in the Residence hall include microwaves, refrigerators, beds, mattresses, chairs, desks and individual storage compartments. Students are expected to furnish their own personal effects including sheets, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, bedspreads, towels, soap, toilet paper and washing supplies. Cooking appliances are prohibited. (Cooking is restricted to the microwave/refrigerator provided in the rooms). Coin-operated (.50 each) washers and dryers are available in Morton Hall.
