Central Texas College offers the Texas “common core” of classes, which are generally the classes you take in your first two years of college—regardless of what career you choose.  You can begin with us even if you’re not sure of your ultimate goal by starting with these core courses, and even working toward a degree in “General Studies,” which can form the foundation for many bachelor’s degree programs.

All of our “common core” classes transfer seamlessly to any public institution in the state of Texas.  You may even start on these classes while you’re still in high school by taking dual credit courses.

Central Texas College offers two-year degree programs and one-year certificate programs in fields included in every career cluster, and can offer the two-year foundation for a four-year degree and advanced studies for any career. Many of our programs are offered online, and you can choose from classes on our central campus in Killeen or on Fort Hood. If you’re in a local high school, you may opt for dual credit courses you can complete before you graduate!
