June 8th WebAdvisor Log-In Changes

On Monday, June 8, all student and employee WebAdvisor user IDs will change from the current format to a new format using the CTC ID number.  Webadvisor will be unavailable from 7:30 am Saturday, June 6, until 7:30 am Monday, June 8 CST to update the system.

CURRENT WEBADVISOR USER ID FORMAT:

First initial of first/last name + last 6 of social security number

Example: John Smith, social 123-45-6789 User ID is js456789

NEW WEBADVISOR USER ID FORMAT:

‘c’ (lowercase) + your CTC ID

Example: John Smith, CTC ID 7654321 User ID will be c7654321.

Passwords will NOT be changed.

FAQS:

Why are the usernames changing?

The change is being made due to privacy concerns with the current practice of using a portion of a social security number in usernames.

I don’t know my CTC ID number. Where can I find it?

The CTC ID number appears on staff and student ID badges—it is the FIRST seven digits starting from the left side of the card. Students may also find their CTC ID  number PRIOR to June 8 by logging into WebAdvisor and looking under the “My Profile” section.  If you are faculty/employee, look under the “Employees” tab of WebAdvisor.

It’s after June 8 and I don’t know my WebAdvisor user ID. Where can I find it?

After June 8, your WebAdvisor user ID will be in the new format and you may access the “WebAdvisor User ID Lookup” page on WebAdvisor to see what it is changed to. An authentication process will require your last name as it appears in your CTC records, your birthdate, and your social security number or CTC ID.

Please note, using the WebAdvisor user ID lookup before June 8th will result in the old username sent to you and not the new.

Will any of my other logins be affected?

This change provided a window of opportunity to standardize usernames across several systems. Your new username format (‘c’ (lowercase) + your CTC ID (example: c7654321)) will also be used for Blackboard, EzProxy, MyLabs Plus, and E2Campus. You can find more information on the change at the login page for each service.

What if my new login doesn’t work?
