About the Assessment: The TSI Assessment is a mandatory computer adaptive placement examination for Texas students. It is completed entirely online and includes multiple choice questions as well as an essay. The assessment is graded automatically and a report is printed out with your specific results. Prior to testing, you are required to complete pre-assessment activities. Following the pre-assessment activities, in the beginning of the assessment, there will be some demographic questions asked as well as an important question: Were you provided with information and/or an activity to help you understand the following: (1) the importance of this assessment, (2) sample questions, (3) course options, and (4) resources for students? This is a Yes or No question. After completing the pre-assessment activities, you will have all the information and activity information to be able to answer "Yes".

Walk-in Testing Hours: Monday-Thursday between 7:30a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Building 111, Rm. 233
Scoring: Once you have completed all the sections and close the test, your scores are instantly calculated. You will receive a printed copy of your scores following the completion of testing.
What to Bring With You on the Test Day: Your student ID number and valid photo identification.
What NOT to take to the Test: Textbooks, notebooks, dictionaries, calculators, or other papers of any kind are NOT allowed in the testing room. Further, anyone who gives or receives help from another test taker during testing will not be permitted to continue. Cell phones, handhelds, and other devices must be turned off and put away during testing.
Testing Fee: The nonrefundable testing fee is $25.00 for all or $10 per section. Exact cash is required when paying at the Testing Services office. Individuals are strongly encouraged to prepay at the Business Office, Bldg 119 and bring receipts the day of the test.
