COLLEGE FOR KIDS SUMMER SCHEDULE (Click here for the updated schedule; some classes are in the process, instant enrollment for CFK should be updated by next week)

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

As our classes begin, we would like to take the time to remind our parents and guardians of some important information:

Guardian Reminders: College For Kids

·        When registering your child, please input their information (name, birthdate, ssn, etc.) as the student and input your contact information on forms.

·        Please pay close attention to the day(s) of the week your classes are being held. In our system we either mark it as Monday-Friday for weekday or Monday-Sunday for weekend classes – noting the specific meeting days and times. Please ensure you are locating this information, if you have any questions please contact our office.

·        Please ensure you’ve completed a signed waiver – one per child – available at the Continuing Education front office and will be available first day of class when you drop your child off.

·        Do NOT leave your children in the classroom if the aide or teacher is not present.

·        Please accompany your child to their classroom, please be on time.

·        Please be on time to pick up your child after class.

·        You will need to sign your child in to class when dropping them off and sign them out when picking them up -EVERY DAY! If someone else will be picking up your child, please notify our office.

·        Students are not permitted to walk across campus.

·        Please pack your child a lunch or snack if their class is more than two hours. Continuing Education does not provide snacks or lunches.

·        If you drop a class for whatever reason, please contact our office and inform us before the first day of the class meeting in order to receive a full refund.  

·        Do not park in spaces marked “reserved” or “official business” anywhere on campus.

Classes and Activities

Art Classes

• Course Overview: Our art classes encourage creativity and self-expression. Young artists will explore different techniques and mediums, from drawing and painting to sculpting and mixed media. These classes are designed to foster a love for art and help children develop their artistic skills.

LEGO Engineering

• Course Overview: In our LEGO Engineering classes, children will learn the basics of engineering and design through hands-on building projects. Using LEGO bricks, students will work on fun and challenging projects that enhance their problem-solving skills and creativity. This class is perfect for budding engineers and inventors.

Science Explorers

• Course Overview: Dive into the exciting world of science with our Science Explorers class. Children will conduct experiments, learn about different scientific principles, and discover the wonders of the natural world. This class encourages curiosity and a passion for discovery.

Coding for Kids

• Course Overview: Introduce your child to the world of coding with our beginner-friendly coding classes. Children will learn the basics of programming through interactive and engaging activities. This class is ideal for young tech enthusiasts who want to learn how to create their own games and apps.

Musical Theatre for Elementary Age

• Course Overview: Our Musical Theatre class introduces children to the exciting world of performance. Students will learn about acting, singing, and dancing as they work together to put on a short production. This class helps build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the performing arts.

American Sign Language (ASL)

• Course Overview: In our ASL classes, children will learn the basics of American Sign Language through interactive activities and practice sessions. This class encourages communication skills and provides an understanding of Deaf culture. It's a great way for children to learn a new language and make new friends.
