  • how friends and other students are doing.
  • the negative consequences of failure.

Most students experience some level of anxiety during an exam. However, when anxiety begins to affect exam performance it has become a problem.

What Is Stress?

Stress is very difficult to define since it affects everyone differently, however, according to BestColleges.com, stress can be described as “a feeling of emotion or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous.”  Stress affects people of all ages, however, it can be especially common amongst college students who may feel overwhelmed by homework assignments, exams, presentations, etc., along with balancing work and family life.
